This chapter reports on the Teaching Innovation Award project at Loughborough University London that aimed to create a school-wide framework for embedding reflection into the student’s learning journey.
The questions tackled in this chapter are: What were the opportunities for embedding reflection across student learning journey at Loughborough University London? What innovative approaches, tools and methods were co-designed to embed reflection into student learning journey ? How did design-led framework support reflective practice across student learning journey? What are the guidelines for applying the framework in other HE institutions?
Biography
Ksenija is an Assistant Professor and a Programme Director for MSc Design Innovation Program, at the Institute for Design Innovation, Loughborough University London. Ksenija holds Fellowship from Higher Education Academy and is a Visiting Lecturer in service design at the Universities of Minho and Twente. Her research investigates how design practice plays out in social institutions and social contexts, including education and climate justice. She is a co-editor of the Special Issue Sustainable Design Education and Implementation, journal of Sustainability and co-leads Climate Heroes, a design research project that explores participatory methodologies for climate action with youth in marginalised communities.

Biography
James Moran is a Senior Lecturer in Curriculum Design at the University of Westminster teaching on the PgCert in Academic Practice and specialising in course creation and development. A Senior Fellow of Advance HE, James has also been a module leader on the Academic Professional Apprenticeship, and co-leader of the Associate Teaching Pathway at Loughborough University and held both teaching and student service roles in a range of other UK universities. James has active research interests in education and social justice and how innovations in curriculum and course design can support these agendas.
